Despite Bankruptcies and Foreclosures Lancaster California Has A Piercing Ray of Sunshine

The news in Lancaster, CA and the world at large seems very doom and gloom sometimes. We are all far too acquainted with the sobering number of job losses, foreclosures, economic hardships and bankruptcies reverberating throughout our community. Of course, as a Lancaster California Bankruptcy Attorney, I am more acquainted with the many tough realities at the front-lines of the recession than most.

I take comfort in knowing though that it is always darkest before the dawn and like many of you, I have been following with interest the development of eSolar’s Sierra SunTower.

The 5 megawatt solar plant was hooked up to the grid in August of last year and while in a practical sense, it created jobs and is now powering 4,000 homes with renewable energy, it is also a metaphor for hope. Most days it collects the warm glow of sunshine and stands diametrically opposed to darkness and despair.

Times are still tough and I work hard everyday to help those facing crippling debt restructure their financial lives.  You should know however that here in Lancaster the sun WILL shine and individual and collective renewal awaits.
